Opportunities exist for a qualified, capable and energetic Electronics Technicians to support manufacturing efforts in the areas of:

• Circuit card and higher order assembly automated and manual test
• System level testing and troubleshooting

Qualified applicants will be able to contribute in multiple facets of the manufacturing operation by being relied on to conduct test, debug/troubleshooting, inspection, and operation of a variety of electronic assemblies with proficiency in support of Progeny’s Canonsburg Production Operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Keeps accurate records for build information, anomalies, defects and test data.
• Maintains all manufacturing related equipment and facilities.
• Contributes to the workplace organization initiatives.
• Operates standard laboratory test equipment and automated test systems.
• Operates environmental test equipment
• Provides feedback to manufacturing engineers on ways to improve procedural steps and process implementation.
• System to Component Level Troubleshooting

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Open to new manufacturing concepts and processes.
• Adaptable to new environments.
• Strong verbal and technical writing skills.
• Has experience using electronic test equipment including power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators, DMM, and spectrum analyzers.
• Able to read, understand and follow technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructions.
• Able to work a set and consistent schedule.
• Possesses and maintains a good attendance record and able to work overtime when required (nights and weekends).
• Strong organizational tendencies and practices.
• Knowledge of basic PC/Windows OS required, Linux experience a plus.
• Understands basic Electronic theory including digital circuits/logic, amplifiers, transistor theory, etc.

Education/Experience

Minimum Associates degree in EET or related

Two to five year minimum experience in an Electronics Technician role or related position.

Preference will be given to candidates that possess qualifications in:

• IPC J-STD-001 Class 3
• IPC-7711
• IPC-7721

Security Clearance

This position may require the applicant to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.
